a bit About us...

Cummings Trailer Sales & Rentals is a family owned and operated business, with three generations of Cummings family members working in it.

The company started in 1981 by Greg & Shirley Cummings as heavy duty truck & equipment sales.

Years later, trailer sales & rentals were added, which ultimately took over as the primary focus.

A PRESENCE THAT REMAINS

It is with heavy hearts that we, the Cummings Family, have to announce the passing of our dear son, father, partner, and friend, Kevin. Kevin was involved in a motorcycle accident on July 1, 2023. He succumbed to his injuries and passed away peacefully on the morning of July 19, 2023 at the age of 52.

Kevin was no average man – he was truly one of a kind and always had a vision. Kevin was as brave and outgoing as he was kind and caring. He was an amazingly talented, gifted, and loving son. We will always treasure the memories of our adventures together. As a father, he was a role model that we will forever look up to. We will be forever grateful for the character that he built within us. Kevin was one to walk his own line – never one to care about what other people may have thought. He was a leader through and through and for all of us that he made an impact on, we will forever carry that forward.

To say that Kevin was a hard worker would be an understatement, as he had a natural drive that made him determined to succeed with absolute excellence. In his earlier years, he operated heavy equipment, which was something he loved to do all of his life. For the majority of his career however, Kevin worked in, and hugely helped shape the family business that still runs today. In business, he was what most call a “straight shooter”, and it is that quality in him of which so many respected. Kevin’s raw passion and caliber will forever be carried on, both in business, and within our own selves.

Kevin is survived by his parents, Greg & Shirley; His Children, Bradin & Madeline; His partner Sandra, along with her children, Megan & Alaina; And his Grandmother, “Grammy” Peggy. Kevin was predeceased by his brother and best friend, Brad; And his Grandfathers, Elmer & Pete. Kevin had a strong faith in God that he held to the end. He will live forever through all of our stories, memories, and people he has impacted, both in business, and in life.

FOREVER PART OF THE CUMMINGS FAMILY

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our friend, teammate, and long-time colleague, Aman.

Aman was a vital part of our team for over twelve years, and his passing has deeply affected all of us.  As a family-run business, our team grows very close – we celebrate together, we work through challenges together, and over time, we become a family.  Aman was very much a big part of that family.

Aman was the type of person who made the workplace brighter.  Whether it was work related or not, the conversations, and often laughs that followed, will be dearly missed.  His presence largely shaped our culture, strengthened our team, and he left a special mark on everybody around him.  Aman was the type of guy who you could always rely on – not only for his honesty and hard work, but for his warmth, his patience, and the positive way that he treated everyone around him.  Always genuine, and always willing to help.

Aman faced his battle with cancer with strength and the utmost courage. Even through the hardest of times, he continued to care for those around him and his humor never faded. He fought like a champion and was laughing and smiling right until the end.

But more than anything, we feel grateful.  Grateful for all of the years that we got to share with him. Grateful for the non-stop laughs, the conversations, the dedication, and the loyalty.  Grateful to have known a man as kind as Aman, let alone work side by side with him for as long as we did.

Aman will forever be a part of the Cummings Family and his memory will continue to live on in our business.  From the stories we tell, to how we treat one another, Aman’s presence will never leave us.

Rest in peace, Aman. You will be deeply missed, and forever remembered.
